Role: Technical illustrations, installation workflow and system, overlay graphics/labels, print design.

Challenge: Design an easy to follow installation guide for homeowners to perform self-installation of light switches, keeping in mind electrical safety using high-voltage wiring for inexperienced individuals.

Strategy: Work closely with the Head of Product and a professional electrician to ensure proper installation processes and procedures. Also, working closely with inexperienced individuals to ensure clear interpretation of instructions and illustrations.

Solution: Use clear illustration techniques and labels to highlight specific steps and connections by reducing contrast for areas that did not need immediate attention. Ensuring language is in simple terminology to be clear and educational during install.

Impact: Product publicly launched in Home Depot with three versions of the installation guide for each variety of light switches sold.
